TUNING OVERVIEW
TYPE NA/NR DAMPER KIT is based on styling,
comfort and well balance. Everything has
been reviewed in order to create a new
footwork at levels which could not be
accomplished with the low down spring
or low down spring and sports shock absorber
combination.
The biggest feature of this damper is
that even though it achieves the low down
styling through short case, we created
stroke, damping effect and spring rate
for the street from scratch. In normal
short stroke structure sports shock absorbers,
by shortening the stroke, the damping
effect must be adjusted in order to absorb
the impact from the roads, and leads to
bumpy and uncomfortable rides. TYPE NR/NA
DAMPER KIT expanded the case diameter
at the same time of short casing. It allowed
for improvement of 130% capacity over
normal and maximum stroke. This led to
stabilizing the damping effect and can
bring sporty handling with low-down form
with a balanced comfortable ride without
needless adjustment of the spring rate
and damping effect.
In addtion, it is also allows for changing
tires and wheel sizes, an ever popular
option. Our product will adjust to any
weight changes and changes in performance
which comes from changing tire and wheel
sizes.
Normal roads are different from the circuit
with mixed road surfaces and conditions.
With the prices for screw type height
adjusting shock absorbers becoming this
low, it is possible for original type
shock absorbers to be free of going extremely
in the direction of short strokes and
sport setting. The TYPE NR/NA DAMPER brings
to you the right setting for road conditions,
with both comfort and stability.
ASSURING SHORT STROKE AND MAXIMUM STROKE

sports shocks tend towards emphasizing
their short strokes. By shortening
the stroke, they need more damping
effect, leading to deteriation of
riding comfort. The TYPE NA/NR damper
achieves short casing, but with maximum
stroke. In addition, TEIN have been
able to achieve 130% capacity over
normal for damping effect, allowing
for stability. We bring to you, sporty
handling without having to overly
increase damping effect, making for
a balance of comfort and sophistication.

new valve mechanism which is patent
pending, we have been able to assure
changing levels of damping effect.

UPPER MOUNT
 |
For
upper mounts, either the original
upper mount or TEIN's pilo upper mount
(sold separately) is available. There
is a possibility that original bumper
rubber boots wil become necessary
when you combine TYPE NR/NA damper
kit with TEIN's pilo upper mount,
depending on your car model. |
TEIN LOW DOWN SPRING "S-TECH"
SET

By
using TEIN's low down spring - S-Tech,
we have been able to achieve the best
setting. For cars with hard settings,
we have prepared hard spring, while
for medium setting cars, medium spring.
* When combined with other companies'
springs, there are cases where you
will experience loose fitting, due
to difference in free length.

C RING TYPE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM

The
C Ring Type height adjustment mechanism
enables a wide range of driving variations
depending on the situation, by changing
the setting for weight balance, corner
weight.
* Base setting is 2nd from top. The
position for the 4 steps are defined
based on the model data and putting
in consideration the lever ratio,
is set to change by 10mm. However,
if set in a position other than the
base position, there is a possibility
for spring space to occur or other
problems from pre-load overload.

LARGE CAPACITY SHELLCASE FOR SHORT CASE

By
changing the structure and increasing
the case diameter, TYPE NA/NR damper
has achieved 130% capacity over normal
cases. By use with original oil, deterioration
of performance due to heat XXX has
been reduced, and the product has
heightened endurance able to deal
with long and hard driving, on top
of stable damping effect. |
