Here is a selection of questions related to purchasing a Japanese imported vehicle from us. If you have a question that is not answered by this FAQ, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Q. Why buy an imported car?
A. Many reasons, including :-
 

(1) Cost : Imported cars from Japan are available at much reduced price, compared to UK prices for the same car. This is due to the expensive and strict vehicle licensing laws in Japan, plus many incentives for Japanese car owners to buy new cars and trade in their old vehicles. This is good news for us in the UK.

(2) Condition : Japanese cars are generally in better condition than a vehicle of the same age in another country. This is mainly due to low average mileage by Japanese motorists, and strict vehicle testing laws in Japan.

(3) Specifications : Cars in Japan usually come fitted with features as standard, that we in the UK would consider luxury (i.e.. Air Conditioning, Electronic Controllers etc.). In some cases inmodified cars from Japan will have higher performance figures than the UK version of the same car.

Q. I hear that parts for Japanese imported cars are hard to find, is this true?
A. There is a growing range of parts available for Japanese imports in the UK, both manufacturer replacement parts
and performance upgrades.
Q. When I buy a car from Hyeline Performance, what do I get?
A. All cars we supply come Valeted and Serviced (including cam belt/chain if required).
  All cars are covered by a 3 month warranty. cond. apply
  All cars come with 6 months road tax.
  All cars come supplied with a £25 of fuel.
Q. How long will it take to find me a suitable car?
A. This depends on the type of vehicle you request, and it's present availability. We will try to find your car within 28 days. If this period elapses without us finding the model requested, you can request a full refund of your deposit, or, allow us an extended 28 day period within which to find your requested model.
Q. How long will my car take to arrive, once a car has been found?
A. Vehicles that have been purchased usually take from 8 to 12 weeks shipping, plus additional time for SVA testing.
Q. Do you require a deposit?
A. We require a 50% deposit for each car that is requested which is of £7000 or below. For cars after £7000, we will ask 75%.
Q. What warrantee do I get?
A. We offer a 3 month parts & labour warranty on all cars sold. Any engine damage occurring during this 3 month period will be assessed by an independent engineer. Engine damage caused by misuse by the owner, will not be covered by this warranty.
Q. Can I cancel my order?
A. If you wish to cancel your order after the 28 day sourcing period has elapsed, you are entitled to a full refund, providing we have not found your requested vehicle. If you wish to cancel your order WITHIN the agreed sourcing period, your deposit will be refunded,
minus a 20% cancellation fee.
Q. Can I have modifications made to the car?
A. Once the car has arrived and is serviced by us, we will fit any parts/accessories requested by you upon purchasing the car. These parts will be available at an additional cost for parts & labour. Please note that some cars may already have modifications made to them by the previous owner, before they arrive in the uk. We will let you know exactly what has been fitted upon purchasing the vehicle.
