RM-01A type Ti
To
the question, "Can the RM-01A be lightened
further more?". The answer for the
ultimate RM-01A was produced in conjunction
with the test driver at Fujitsubo. After
intensive testing and effort, the all titanium
conversion RM-01A was produced for the Mitsubishi
EVO lancer IV / V / VI (CN9A / CP9A) which
weighs in at 3.7Kg as compared to the old
RM-01A which is weighed in at 10.2Kg (reduction
of 63.8%). As for the main pipe diameter
and internal composites, RM is always achieving
the result with each testing done.
The specifications of 01A promise "high
performance". The
installation of the RM-01A is done by the
base plates which gurantees the durability
of the system.
RM
exhaust was developed because of the
competition such as Gymkhana dirt
trial. As for RM01A, high improvement
comes from the weight reduction and
power increase. The design improves
acceleration and response on the road.
The 50% light weight conversion is
achieved through the material modification
and structural change of the section.
The exhaust was born to reduce lap
times in race conditions and improve
power gains.

of installing the stay uses
the baseplate and prevents concentration
of stress and guaranteeing strength.
12 dia, wall thickness of 10
dia stays from 2.0 mm in 1.5
mm modification. In addition,
it modifies 8 dia stays hollow
1.2 mm thick from solid and
until detail light weight conversion
is measured.
The
main pipe is lightened and strengthen
by the use of 1.0 / 1.2mm thick
SUS304 stainless steel. The
